Zerographic believes in the power of community and the value of developing young talent. We recently had the pleasure of supporting an outstanding event at Walton Priory Middle School in Stafford, where students, staff, and local heroes came together to celebrate creativity and inspiration.
As part of our continued sponsorship of Olympic gold medallist Joe Clarke MBE, who attended Walton Priory Middle School, we strive to support local projects. In the run-up to the Paris 2024 Olympic event, which commences in France from the 26th of July, we supported an art competition held by Walton Priory Middle School in which students were asked to submit drawings of Joe.

Joe was taken back by the sheer volume of poster submissions, which exceeded 300, as well as the students’ outstanding efforts. With so much creativity on display, it was particularly difficult for him to limit it down to only 20 finalists, making the ultimate selection a difficult but satisfying process.
Sophie Griffiths, an exceptionally talented 12-year-old student, was named the competition winner. Her stunning artwork indicated a bright future in art, reflecting the enthusiasm and commitment of an Olympic champion. Joe Clarke personally thanked Sophie, highlighting her exceptional skill. Joe’s personal touch enhanced the experience for Sophie and everyone else present.

We are grateful to everyone of Walton Priory’s students and staff for their participation and excitement, which made this event a tremendous success. We were happy to support the event and see the students’ extraordinary participation and creative ability, highlighting the vast potential in our local schools.
Uniting the community whilst also honouring the artistic abilities of the students. We were thrilled to witness the beneficial effects it had on all parties, including parents, instructors, and children.
Stafford Council and Stone Library have teamed up to ensure that the winning artwork is available to the wider community, which is an excellent extension of this event. Over 1,000 copies of Sophie Griffiths’ winning poster have been printed and distributed throughout the school and to the community through Stone Library. This allows more people to participate in the celebration of local talent. In addition to recognising Sophie’s success, this programme promotes and strengthens community pride.
Joe Clarke’s participation in this event was particularly significant given his roots in the town. His journey from Walton Priory Middle School student to participation in the Olympics exemplifies the power of dedication and determination. Joe serves as a strong role model for the pupils by sharing his story and engaging them.
Community cooperation can result in meaningful and memorable experiences. Zerographic is delighted to sponsor activities that bring people together, inspire young minds, and recognise local heroes.
Walton Priory Middle School, Stafford council, Stone Library, and, of course, Joe Clarke has all worked together to make this event a success. We appreciate the opportunity to be a part of such a fantastic community initiative.
We are excited to support Joe in his next Olympic races. His first competition, the Kayak Single Heats, will be held on July 30th. He will also be participating in the Kayak Cross Time Trial, which begins on August 2nd. We are excited to support Joe as he represents our town on the global stage. We encourage everyone to join us in supporting Joe in the games. Go Joe!
