Challenge
Keepmoat, a prominent national home builder boasting over 35,000 homes across nine regions in the UK, faced significant issues with their print and network infrastructure. The expansion of their operations led to the establishment of 10 new head offices and 150 new building sites, each running independently without a cohesive network causing a lacking visibility into printing activities and consumable expenditures. Additionally, maintaining a specialised IT field team for the dispersed print infrastructure proved to be both expensive and logistically challenging.
Solutions
Collaborating closely with Zerographic, Keepmoat implemented a standardised device model across all head offices and building sites, tailored to meet their specific requirements. A cloud-based print solution was deployed, granting Keepmoat complete management and visibility over printers across diverse locations across the UK. This streamlined approach resulted in a reduced IT footprint for Keepmoat, allowing their IT team to focus on core business elements. The cloud-based solution also facilitated seamless printing from mobile devices, including Android, iOS, and Windows, to any multifunctional device at any given location.
Zerographic further integrated cloud management software to address security concerns. Given that Keepmoat deals with sensitive, personal and financial information, the implementation of robust encryption and security measures was crucial. Additionally, their in- house passwords and information would also be protected too.
