Overview of the Role:

To achieve a targeted level of sales performance through the selling of aligned production solutions from the Xerox document production and workflow solutions e.g. high volume digital printers and associated servers, scanners, web to print software, cross media marketing software, training, analyst support and 3rd party partner services and products.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Focus on the Graphic Communications clients, Commercial Print environments. Specialising in the production portfolio of products and/or solutions, but with added responsibility for workflow solutions.
  • To identify and develop account management strategies for New Business and deliver account growth within existing accounts
  • To develop further business by utilising appropriate account management methodologies.
  • Through a focus on the customer needs, business drivers, and applications within accounts, co-ordinate internal and external resources e.g. Specialists, Analysts and consultants to maximise business opportunities.
  • To build effective business relationships at senior level with proven skills in high value negotiations.
  • To ensure continued focus on maintaining 100% customer satisfaction by the identification and understanding of our customers business needs and drivers.
  • To provide value added proposals linking and recommending the appropriate business solutions to the customers’ needs and business drivers.
  • To have the ability to articulate systems within the production environments and have an understanding of PC’s, client servers, networks and application software.
  • To promote the quality image of Zerographic within the marketplace and conduct business in an ethical and professional manner.
  • To ensure the maintenance and regular update of an accurate a customer database (CRM)

Personal Attributes:


  • Current experience of selling professional print
  • Proven track record of developing new business and achieving sales targets
  • Consultative and solutions based approach to sales
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Proven success in gaining and building relationships within SME accounts and in delivering high value solutions with longer selling cycles.
  • Candidates should have a high level of commercial/business awareness within the sales environment.
  • A good understanding of networks, computing, publishing and print offset environments.
  • Ability to articulate the Value Propositions that differentiate our proposals
  • Good communication and a high level of Selling Skills
  • To have presented complex document solutions to customers that link directly to the customer need and business drivers
  • To be able to quickly and professionally build up working relationships across business functions.
  • A high level of written communication skills in order to respond to proposal and tender situations.
  • To be able to plan and manage short, and mid to long-term selling cycles.
  • To plan and prioritise own workload in order to deliver a high activity coverage contract 100% coverage taking into account changing priorities.
  • To effectively plan account management for a large geographic area which may include National Coverage in some cases
  • Ability to assimilate information in a rapidly changing environment and ensure continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
  • To be able to influence and gain commitment from internal and external customers.
  • To provide innovative and creative solutions that meets the customer’s need and business drivers.
  • Computer Literate
  • To have a valid UK driving licence.
